So you're saying you want floorboards WITH mid-controls?

Anyone wanting floorboards to fit a Dyna for about $100, just get the J.C.Whitney part #CCT010306. That's what I'm running, direct bolt-on, even though they aren't listed to fit.

The FL designation has nothing to do with floor boards. The "F" means it's a big twin and the "L" means it has a touring front end. If it would have the smaller front end it would have a "D" as in the current line, FXD.

Also as far as the original post, the front forks are cartridge stile forks which even though they are only 41mm they should be superior to the 49mm damping rod forks.

The frame on the switchback is not new, it's the same one since '06. Our frames have mounting holes for forwards and for mids. From some of the pics I've seen and without seeing it in person it looks like the floor boards use both mounting locations. Someone else mentioned in one of the ten or so threads on this model that it retains the same rear master cylinder as the other dynas so these boards should retrofit with no issues. If you have forwards already it should be an easy swap. If you have mids, you'll have to deal with the mid control shifter shaft just as if you were installing forwards.

You are right about the FL being a big twin with the touring front end but the D does not signify the smaller front end. The X does. The D is for the Dyna line. So for the touring style bikes it would be FLD for the Dyna, FLS for the Softail, and FLH for the touring bikes except for the Roag Glide which is FLT.

Not to get in this pissing match but just wanted point out something:

The switchback was made from a movement that started on this forum! Go to Social groups and then go to the FL DYNA thread. this is where they got the idea for this bike.

Did you read my post? I said I've been looking for anything to fit a Dyna for 3 years, and IF it could be done, wouldn't you THINK Kury or the other after market parts people would have MADE THEM FOR SALE ON DYNA'S BEFORE THIS? And, I didn't say "FACT".... I SAID IT WAS MY OPINION. Kury does make a set of bolt in floorbgards for the dyna they are the constellation boards i have a set on mine and they work great and look even better
