Replaceing Tank

I have an 05 Superglide with the speedo on the bars. Don't like it. Boo!

Can I replace my current tank with a tank that comes with the speedo?

What year and model gas tank do I need to use?

Will I have any major issues, or will the tank fit with no problems?

Any additional parts I might needs?

I converted my FXDI using a Low Rider fuel tank and a Street Bob console ... I think if I were doing it now, I would use the Wide Glide console to move the ignition switch up to the tank top ....

Since the time of my original conversion to the FXDB console, I replaced my indicator lights with the stock FXDB indicator lights ... they look better ... cost an additional $39 and I had to do a little cutting and splicing of the wires ....

It is not too hard of a job to do ... definitely helps if you have the manual ... also, take a look at forum member Mascman's thread where he does a 'how to' on removing and replacing the fuel pump ....

[Guess I am going out on a limb and assuming you have fuel injected model ... if not, a few of the things I've posted won't apply in your situation ....]

Wow.! Super sweet.! That's the look I'm going for. I actually have a carb, no FI.

Thanks for the help. I will start looking for a tank on eBay or Craigslist. Maybe I will get luck and find a nice used one.
