Back firing
I have a 2008 Fat Bob and have recetly had some Vance and Hines slip ons fitted. Since then, when I throttle down to change gear I get some back firing, not much but its annoying. Any one know why and how to stop it? Thanks

"decel popping". It is from unburnt fuel getting into your pipes where it meets O2 and ignites. It can be tuned out. I had the pops on my 2007 successfully tuned out. It took a competent tuner (not available at the local dealer, I had to go elsewhere), a mastertune and dynojet time to do it and it was expensive. There are other tuning options.

Like SteveO said, you may have an exhaust leak, most likely at the slip joint. I've reused clamps a few times with no problems but sometimes you need new ones. I use a hi temp sealant just to make sure.
You're also probably running too lean, need to add some fuel. Getting the correct tune will cure your problem.
