Gotta pick up an exhaust from the dealer since they owe me. I just want to do V&H Straight Shots because I liked them on my Nightster but I'm looking for any other suggestions. Its for a 2011 Street Bob.
Personally, I like 2 into 1 especially on a dyna. I prefer the "screaming" sound of a 2 into 1 at high RPM and also the increased performance. Check out the V&H Propipe, D&D Fatcat, or the Bassani Road Rage Series II which I just installed (PITA to install, hopefully the dealer is installing!)
I had the V & H 2 into 1 propipe on my 2003 RKC, and really liked the sound and performance. They make a really nice pipe and the fit & finish was awesome, actually on the last 2 sets I've owned. My current bike 2008 StreetGlide has Rinehart true duals on it which sound way different than the 2 into 1 and has a nice semi loud rumble when you get on it. I wanted to stay with the duals on this bike. It just comes down to what you like, and what looks and sounds good on your particular bike. I'd say you can't go wrong with either brand, imho.
Ride safe out there....
P.S. Had V & H straight shots on my wide glide and they definetly screamed! Would be good on the Bob too....

i had the bub lakester 2 into 1 to start with on my bike. awesome sounding exhaust. would still have it if i hadnt lowered my bike. but i also like the short shots. and another one i had. vance and hines big radius look good too.
I put a set of the new V&H Straightshots on my 08 FXDC before the summer and I love the sound of them. I have also not noticed any obvious impact on the power versus the V&H slip-ons that I had on the bike prior to the Straightshots. The Straightshots also show a lot more of the motor so it is easier to clean and it lets me show off all the extra chrome.
I have the bub straightaways midlength staggered. They are pretty much bubs version of the vance and hines long shots staggered. they are also substantially cheaper. They perform well and I still have the stock air box. Did do an EFI piggy back auto tune unit however to make it run better. Has great power and sound now. Any good reputable pipe will do . Vance n Hines, Bassani, Rich's Thunderheader, DnD, etc. Get what you like.
