Removing decal from Windshield

Ok....
I did a search and all I came up with was how to remove id tags off down toubs....
Is it the same for removing from a windshield....?

Never had to do it on a windshield, but I'd try a bit of carefully applied heat and a fingernail. If the tag is permeable I'd lay a GooGone (gum turpentine works almost as well) soaked piece of paper towel over it and let it soak for an hour before using my fingernail.

WD 40 is what I use. I saw a shield that goo gone damaged.

Razor blade, takes it right off. Some googone or oil to get the glue off.

DON'T DO IT! Googone on a windshield is not a good move....trust me, I tried it once.
