I have the sundowner solo with sundowner pillion. I love the seating, it's plush and very comfortable. It's up for sale if you want one or both, pm if interested. I'm becoming an old man and need a riders backrest seat.
Mustang vintage wide solo plus you have a choice of three sizes of passenger pillions.
I think that the stock seats HD putts on are especially designed to be less than comfortable so you can buy one of their optional seats. Luckily there are many aftermarket choices.
The stock seat on my FXDC inspired my roids to act up after 10 years of dormancy. Go figure.

I have a 2011 FXDC, and am thinking about upgrading to a better seat. I'm hoping to do a lot more day trips (250-500 miles) on the weekends, which will mostly be solo.
But, the wife loves to go on short rides (her back & knees give her too much trouble to go far), so I need something comfy for her as well.
I had a Mustang Wide Touring seat on a H*nda that I previously owned, and it was pretty good.
I'm looking at:
Sundowner Deep Bucket (maybe with backrest)
HD Touring Seat
Rallyrunner
I'm might consider a reduced reach seat (I'm inseam challenged), but I really like my riding position with the stock seat (which I don't have any real complaints about so far).

If you are already looking at spending $400+ on a seat, throw the little extra into the new dyna seat with the backrest signature series. #52000015
When looking at bikes at the dealer, me and the misses sat on a few different models. She hated the sportsters, but like the dynas and softails (which I didnt like). I liked the fat bob but she hated the seat. In the end the dealer threw in the sundowner and were all happy now. I never use it for solo riding though.
