I have to HD Touring seat on my FXD but am looking at the new seat on the Switchback because of the back rest. It's a little bit bigger then the Touring seat, but I can deal with that.

Hate to disappoint but the stock FXD seat doesn't have a backrest and is shaped fairly different than the HD touring seat ( I have one too) - its similar in width (narrower but I've not measured one) and more scalloped on the sides giving better reach. To get the backrest you need this seat - at considerably more expense whereas a stock FXD seat lists at $199

My wife likes the sundowner. I hate how it looks, but it only takes a few minutes to swap it out.

Are you certain that will work on the 09 dyna because if it will then that might be a option I can use.

They fit, and at $549 that HD signature seat puts you well into the aftermarket category where backrests are commonplace.

I'm looking for a touring seat for my 06 wide glide. I tried out the mustang seat on another bike at iron pony and really liked it. The salesman there told me I wouldn't be able to use my sissy bar. Is he right ? If it wasnt fot that I would have bought it. So the search is still on. May check out the HD signature series. Any other suggestions for a touring 2 up seat ?

Purchased the touring seat in 07 but was a little disapointed because it actually raises you up and pushes you forward a bit compaired to stock. I think I will have it reworked.

I stopped searching for a touring seat when I bought a Mustang Vintage Wide. Not the prettiest seat to look at, but way comfortable. No issues going full to reserve without stopping, especially after installing my 3" forward control extentions!
