I've had 3 Sundowner seats and all where comforable in the extreme. My wife likes them also. The one on my CVO Fat Bob does look a little "thick" however if you install the passenger strap, that breaks up the thick look. Around $250 from Zanotti.

HD "touring" seat is a bit smaller than the SD, about an inch narrower front and back - not perfect (sometimes wish I could slide back slightly) but works well enough and I don't think bad looking.
If you want comfort for you and the passenger plus the ability to quickly change to a solo seat, check out the Mustang wides. IMHO they offer the best of both worlds.
I prefer the look of solo seats, but in less than a minute I can install the passenger seat. I think that Mustang does it well with their combo, but everyone has their own tastes, so go with what suits your's.

+1 on the Mustang!
I have the Sundowner off my bike sitting on a shelf in the workshop, $150 and its yours if you want it.
