I went with the low profile kuryakyn led, smoked finish to match my smoked led turn signals. I bought the tailight from J&P cycles, the smoked turn signal covers from HD, and the turn signal bulbs from superbrightleds.com for about $6 a piece and have 24 led's in each bulb. I had to install a load equilizer to add the correct resistance back to the turn signals wires to get rid of the fast flash and the security system trouble code.
I went with the low profile Street Magic (from Custom Dynamic) smoked led and I'm waiting for it. Do you know if I also had to install a load equilizer to add the correct resistance? http://www.customdynamics.com/street...taillights.htm
They say that: "Our LED tail lights are a direct replacement fit to the original stock units, they are complete units including lens, reflector, and LED board. These NEW LED taillights feature a Radiantz/Hardcore 48 dual intensity LED cluster for SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE! The units are plug and play, just unscrew you stock tail light and plug in your new high performance LED tail light."
The load of the tail light has no effect on the TSSM. The only time you have to put on the load equilizer is if you change the turn signal bulbs to the lower resistant led's. If you were to get the tail light that has the built in turn signals then you would have to put on the load equilizer. The equilizer you need if you have the newer bike with the security system is the badlander III which costs $79.99 from J&P cycles.
