Vapor lock???

Vapor lock???
I was on my way home to taday from work, in 90* heat, 10-15 mins creeping along in road construction. Everything fine, then got about a mile away going about 50 the bike started to decel pop going into a 40 mph zone. Then the engine died. Got the bike off of the road. The engine would not fire up again. I had what I figured about a half of a tank of gas. I decided to check anyways. So I pulled the gas cap and I was correct. I tried once more and the engine fired right up. No problems the rest of the way home. (25 Miles). Last year almost same conditions, it happened again. Could this be just Vapor locking?

Well I was just able to get in to the garage to look at the bike. I removed the hard plastic line from under the gas tank and blew thought it, no restrictions. Then I removed the vent hose from the top of the tank and once again no restriction. Then I blew into the tank and fine also.
No there was no wushhh when I opened the gas cap. But there was traffic going by at the time.
I wish I could duplicate it again. Thanks for any help.
