At $1500 less than the Road King, I'm sure you'll see more people making that same choice. Not my style, but if I were interested in a Road King, I'd sure look real hard at the Switchback. Bike looks good w/o the bags and the shield.
And for the record, my FXDWG w/ the Q/R shield, throw-over bags, and T-bag on the back is great to tour on and carries a lot of stuff!
I think the opposite is whats going on in real life. If I am standing in a dealer looking at a RQ and RK I wouldn't think for over 10 seconds before pulling the trigger on the king for the 1500.

Untill there is an adequate supply we will never know for sure. Right now Switchbacks are not staying on the floors more that 1 or 2 days. But Road kings are always there.
like i said before RK big square *** lead sled....i looked at both but i wanted a bike that would be fast and sporty at the end of the day..if the RK had the nicer looking *** end like a street glide i may have went with an RK..but the looks on a RK and the weight just dont do it for me and if i am going to spend that much why stop there? MIght as well just buy a street glide or a road glide

I guess the guys who do not like the front fender on the Switchback like style over function. I like function over style. My '08 FXDC has a very "stylish" front fender but when I HAD to ride it in the rain for 500 miles, (in 40-50 degree weather with snow in one section) I know I would LOVE to have a full coverage fender like that on the Switchback. If it was out in '08 when I got my FXDC, I think I may have made a different choice.

I agree, I know for sure if it had been out in 07' I would not have my Wide Glide, especially since the Swithback is LESS money than the 07' WG was.

Is an e-z clutch something different than different than any other stock clutch?
My hands are showing signs of aging and e-z er clutch would be nice.
Thanks
Fish, if you have an "09" Train you should have the e-z clutch.
I think it's stock on anything over an "06".
My Train is an "03". It's got a pretty tough clutch to deal with. I keep saying I'm going to upgrade the clutch but it's not a high priority unless I start doing a lot of riding.
If I got a Switchback I'd get rid of the polished aluminum covers and add a Klock Werks front Fender.
