Has anyone mounted a fairing to thier Super Glide. I have a 2007 and am looking at mounting a wide open customs full size fairing. Other than the Speedometer needing to be moved I see no other real problem. Any imput would be great.

I have the Memphis Shades batwing fairing on my 2009 FXD. Did not have to relocate my speedo. This one designed specifically for the FXD SuperGlide.

how you like it ? I just put one on my 08 LR two weeks ago. I hear stuff a ever heared before.

 

I like it. But you right, it too stated hearing stuff I never heard before. But just got used to it. I think flow around the fairing is quieter so you hear instead of the buffeting noise you heard before.

Do you have the stereo system in yours? I cant seem to find Memphis Shades with a bulit in stereo for the Super glide.

 

I am thinking about this one but dono yet. any one have it and how is it?

The memphis shades does not have the stereo or speaker mounts. It is just the outer fairing shell. However you do not have to move the speedo. I mounted cycle sounds speakers to the detachable brackets for the fairing so they aren't on my handle bars. There is also a guy on here who makes a stereo bag that from what I hear rocks (500 watts). It will attach to your risers if I understand it right. I'll probably be PMing him some time this winter for one. If you want the regular stereo/speakers and such you'll have to figure something out to move the speedo unless you can find a company that makes one specifiacally that adresses the superglide stock speedo location. I also used a MS fairing for the RK/Softail and installed a larger headlight to get away from the smaller stock Dyna headlight. MS does make a fairing specifically for the smaller Dyna headlight as well.
