Washing off the glue from reflectors

Washing off the glue from reflectors
Any advice on how to wash off the glue from the reflectors that I tore off my bike? Reflectors came off easy but left a spongee glue behind. I was just gonna go at it but then thought better of it and figured I should get some advice first. I'm not too worried about the glue on the forks since it's metal...WD40 would probably do for that I'm guessing? But the rear ones might be trickier to remove and not damage the paint. Let me know what you guys used. Thanks.

goof off always works for me. for stubborn items i use a small acid type (solvent) brush and keep working around the edge. applying heat when removing reflectors, stickers ect... also helps.

Used goo gone then I washed it off with Dawn (denim paint). Wouldn't leave the residue from anything on there too long.
