I thought the cats were in the slip ons? I know they are in my superglide, is it different in the fat bob?

I think the 2010-2012 have the cats in the headers. In the 2to1to2 collector piece.

Wonder if that will mess with the O2 sensors with no restriction at all.

Modern cats offer very little restriction so I doubt there would be any ill effects.

The CAT was in the header, and the O2 Sensors are up near the head before the CAT so they should not be affected.

according to rush pipes, my 2011 dyna superglide cats were in the factory slip ons.
Is this not correct info?

You are correct!

Super Glide has a different set of pipes than Wide Glides and Fat Bobs have the tommy gun style exhaust which has a 2into1into2 collector. There is a crossover on the shorty staggered pipes but no collector so the Super Glide and Street Bob had them in the mufflers. I could be mistaken but this is how I understood it. I have no idea where the cat is on the FLD. I'm sure we'll see one dissected here on these forums soon enough.

Default CAT Removed from 2011 Fat Bob

Here is a picture of the Fat Bob pipe after CAT was removed if your pipe looks like this then I would have to say this is where your CAT is located. I have only done this to 2 Street Glides and this Fat Bob if I do more I will post info.

I would think removing the cat and just adding slipons would cause problems down the road. The ECM is not going to compensate for that one bit. Just finish the job and put a better intake on there and a fuel management system. I'll bet it sounds better but it is probably slower too. $16K for the bike, what's a few hundred more? Find one mechanic at a Harley dealership that has his bike set up that way.
