I don't put a ton of stock in nada or blue book figures..I mean they are a good baseline, but when you are talking about stuff with some sort of a collectibility factor..that all goes out the window. Example 77-80 Trans -Am's are total pieces of ****..but some dudes have a huge Smokey and The Bandit fetish and will pay 3-4X what book says they are worth..just because thats what they really want. If you want all of the things FXDX's and FXDXT's offer they you should consider nada to be more of a notion that a hard fast rule. I bought my DX looking like a straight up grandpa wagon. bags, windshield, pillow seat, highway pegs, kuryakn crap everywhere...but I knew from day one what it was gonna be when I finished it and I paid a little bit more than "book" for it because it had the things DX's are known for..blacked out drivetrain, good brakes, suspension, etc and thats what I wanted. Keep looking and one will pop up....mine may hit the market pretty soon, but it won't be cheap lol : )

Your Dyna looks damn fine. It appears that I would need to look at 00, 02, 03, 04, 05 to find one like that, unless I am mistaken. I know I want the dual front discs, blacked out, mid controls, mag wheels.

Does the thunder header do anymore (sound, performance, only ones to come in black?) than another brand of aftermarket pipes, or just for a certain look?

Never see many T-bars around here so can't sit on one and see, but how tall do most shorter 5'6" riders go with those 8" or 10". I thought riding the street bob, the bars felt great, to give you an idea.

I bought my 01' with 15,800 miles on it for $5600. It was very clean and had some aftermarket parts on it already( bars, exhaust, forward controls etc.). The only thing that could use a little polish would be the wheels. They are not bad though. They are out there and a place in North Jersey has a higher mileage FXDXT listed for $6900. The Cycle Echange in Andover, NJ. I believe they will ship the bike too.

The T-header is a good pipe, there's better pipes that cost alot more, but I like the look and sound of it. I'm 5'7" but I look 6' 7" so the tall bars are fine to me. I went from 1" risers to 6" and now to 9.5"'s and I love em. It definately makes the haters hate even more with the taller risers so maybe I like that even more lol.

Does anyone know if mag wheels from a later 2000-2005 FXDX could be installed relatively easy on a 1999 FXDX with spoke wheels? I assume the front is the same, but the back may be issues, seems to have went from a 130-150 wheel.

They went to sealed bearings in 2000, so it would be more difficult than just width.

Hey guys, I'm new on here, but i'm probably going to be selling my '01 t-sport in the next few weeks. I haven't quite come to grips with it yet, but its time to move on. Anyway, most people have no idea what it is, so i figured i would give this thread a heads up. It's stock except for the paint and forward controls (i know, i know...i am 6'4" tall though...).
