$55 fairing...installed
Thanks all...I mainly posted just to show there was a fairly affordable alternative to the $$ fairings if you're capable of a little fabrication. I'm even embarrassed I did the crap weld job and posted it...but it's since made me make up a cardboard template I think will be much better. If only morning would come already! (shop is at parents house...doubt they'd appreciate me working in it at this hour)

Find a sportster/dyna headlight and eyebrow on ebay, junk yard, swap meet, etc. Drill and tap your top tree to mount it. mount the fairing with the normal bracketry that fairing uses. Will look like baby jesus himself designed it.
I thought about drilling and tapping the triple...in fact I almost did...but I didnt want to do it with the triple on the bike and I didn't want to remove the triple. I worked all day on a new bracket which looks much better...I'll post tomorrow after it's mounted...paint is drying
