Been considering a 2 into 1 system for the FXDX. The bike has a stage 1 and a SE cam (255, I think). I've searched a lot of threads so far but the problem is I've not actually heard many 2 into 1 systems. Considering that I don't want loud, (a little louder than stock is OK) I guess Super Trap is an option with less discs. Looked at V&H's site as well. From what I have read Thunderheader will be too loud for me but I'm keeping an eye out for a bike around here that I can listen to. I'm just trying to narrow down the selection to two or three, any suggestions are appreciated.
Man, I think you'll be the best off with the Supertrapp. They're pretty quiet depeding on your tuning/discs and it's an awsome pipe. There's a reason so many race guys have them. The Supermeg would look killer too. Just my opinion. Drop me a line if you want a quote. Thanks man.

+1 I agree.......I am getting ready to buy one myself
Thanks for the advice. Super Trapp is on my short list. I'm still trying to determine if their Super Meg fits my FXDX? I'll call them to confirm. Another decision would be chrome, or black?

The color is your choice, but Super Trapps have been at the top of the game for decades.
On the other hand, quiet baffles are made for many top brand 2-1's. My Bub 7 2-1's were perfect for sound and performance with my stage 1, but after going to Stage 4, they were WAY WAY loud. I just bought a $25 quiet baffle and brought the decibels back down to near stock levels. If I ever want more sound, I'll just remove a little packing, but I'm content just to leave them as is. I like being able to ride by a cop without aggravating his ears enough to pull me over.
If you choose Super Trapps, you are all set for whatever sound you want. If you go another route, just check to see if quieter baffles are available before buying them.
