How many miles did you have on the old bike? How many mods were done to it? I also don't understand trading a two year old bike for the same model that hasn't had an update of some kind. If it was a new/bigger motor, maybe?

FWIW I have the 1.75" Rush slipons on my 2011 FXDC and I love 'em. Just loud enough (actually pretty loud when you want them to be) but you can feather the throttle when you're going by the man and not get a second look.
I guess I'm in the what's the point camp too, not like anything changed from 09 to 11...............except getting cats in the pipes and costing more.

I had a set of Vance & Hines Twin Slash Slip-ons on my FXDC and I liked them fine. They actually were not loud at all when cruising on the highway (which I do alot) and a good rumble at idle. Also had the standard HD Stage I AC kit and a Fuel Pak. Some exhaust popping with this set up, but nothing I could not live with. Also like the Twin Slash because they are a lot less common to see on the Dyna's.
