We traded in our '09 Super Glide Custom and I loved the styling and ride of the bike so well that we got the same model, except two years newer. The dealer made me a great trade in offer and a great price on a new 2011 Super Glide Custom, well I just couldn't say no.
I have loved the ride of our '09 so well and the bike fit me just right so we decided to get the same model but did do a color change and went with a black one this time around. Picked it up last Wednesday and will take it back when the extra stuff we ordered comes in this coming week. The only thing I haven't decided on yet are the pipes. The '09 had Rush slip-ons but I am undecided between the Rush pipes again or these Vance and Hines twin slash slip-ons that I saw while at the dealer the other day. The V&H had a really good deep sound to them but I'm not sure how that would be on the highway on a long trip. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd sure appreciate the input! Other than that, I've had a smile that won't go away for almost 4 days now, lol, and I'm a very happy camper!
Thanks in advance for any and all input and ideas!
I put the Rush slip ons on mine and I love them. I can hear the bike better it has a nice sound when you get on the throttle but not annoying when cruising. I've been very happy with them. Much better than the stock pipes.
Same bike same color minus engine guard but have back rest and luggage rack. Have Vance and Hines slash cut and love them. Not to loud in cruise mode but good sound at idle and make more than enough sound under heavy load. Also looks good and shorter than stock.
