I have the SE Stage 1, FuelPak and V&H slash cuts on my 2010 and I really like the Slash Cuts - I got the quiet baffles and I think it's the perfect sound for the riding I do - not too loud at cruising and has a nice rumble to it - also wakes up very nice when you open it up. I have little to no popping with my combo. Congrats on the new ride! Ride safe!

Default Thanks for the recommendations to those who answered the question!

To those who took the time to answer the original question, thank you for the explanations and recommendations on the slip on exhaust question. I'm leaning toward the vance and hines but it's a toss up, I still might go Rush also.

Also, there seem to be some folks who took the time to comment such as asking why I traded a three year old bike to begin with and some other comments as to I mentioned "We" instead of "I" or "My" bike. This is the reason for the long delay in answering because I didn't just want to fly off the handle and make some smart *** reply and just start a big hassle when it's all just about a simple question to begin with.

To some I would have said that it's not really anyone's business why I traded in such a new bike to begin with simply because of the "tone" of their reply to the post to start with but I'm not really that kind of person. I'd much rather kill someone with kindness than just get into a hassle over something that doesn't really matter.

And to answer the question regarding why I refer to the bike as "Ours" and the "We" instead of using "My" or "I" when referring to trading in the old bike,,,,I'll be happy to tell you why,,,,,My wife and my names are both on the title to this and the old bike we traded in and when she decides it's time to get her a bike of her own, then I'll be more than happy to refer to this bike as "Mine" or that "I" got an offer too good to refuse. Until then, this is and will be "Our" bike and that's just how it is and will be for now.

And to whoever mentioned that I posted this in the wrong place to begin with, I'm very sorry if I did post it in the wrong place and from now on, if I do ever post anything else, you can be assured that I will never post anything again in the wrong column and that it will be double and triple checked before anything is ever posted again by me.

To those who took the time to really read the question that was asked by me to begin with, thank you very much for your replys and for the recommendations, those are very much appreciated by me. It's really going to be a time consuming task to look over the slip on exhausts that are available since there are so many but at least now I have a good starting point and it looks like Rush and Vance and Hines will be the ones which get a good look at by me.

And to whoever asked, no I don't have money to burn or I wouldn't have had to finance this bike to begin with and I wouldn't be asking on here for suggestions as to which add ons to be considering, I'd just go out and buy the ones which I've already read about and if I didn't like it, I'd just go get something else. So like most people, I try to ask before just blowing money and if I've upset anyone by trying to ask before just going out and blowing $300 to $500 bucks, I'm sorry and will try not to upset anyone further in the future.

I appreciate those who replied by trying to back me up and to those folks, well we seem to be much alike and I truly appreciate the support more than you'll ever know. Those seem like the kind of folks who would bother to stop and check on a fellow rider if stopped on the side of the road just to see if they could be of any help and that's the type of person I am also. I'd watch your back any time just for watching mine and would be there any time I could be of assistance to you or anyone, no matter the type of person.

I'm sure this reply will get all kinds of flack from all kinds of folks on here, so let me have it, at least I can take it without getting all blown out of shape and to let you know in advance, it really doesn't bother me, I just let it roll off me and keep on keeping on because life really is too short to let things like nasty replies bother anyone. If someone lets things like that upset them, then they probably shouldn't be on here to begin with because there will always be those kind of folks and not much we or anyone can do about them but to take it with a grain of salt and go on about livin, because like I said, life's too short and I'd rather be ridin!

And one last thing, since I'm the one who traded in the '09 to begin with, it really didn't handle as well as I expected and after riding this new '11 model for several weeks now, this bike, even though it's the same model only newer, it rides so much better that it's like night and day. So I went and told the dealer that they might want to go thru my trade in bike with a fine tooth comb because it rides so badly compared to this one and there really isn't much difference between the '09 and '11 models of the Super Glide Custom.

I apoligize for being so long winded but there seemed like there were several things that needed to be said and I believe I got them said. Feel free to let me have it now and I'll always be happy to calmly answer any questions that anyone has for me about anything because one thing I love to do is to help anyone. I've been in customer service for over half my life now and lately have been caring for my 90 year old father who is far from the easiest person to live with and there's not much I haven't heard in 28 years of customer service that I probably won't hear again.

Take good care ev1 and keep on riding, safely hopefully!

Bo

Hey Bo,

Don't know if you misunderstood my post, but you have it in the correct location. With how passioniately you were talking about this bike, I said it sounds like it belongs in the thread "Why is Your Bike the 'Perfect Bike'". Don't know if you've been over to that thread yet, but you may want to check it out and post what you've told us here. I do hope you and your wife enjoy that bike to the fullest long and often.

Ride safe.

Terry

I usually don't have the mental bandwidth to read such a long post, but for some reason I did in this case and I'm glad I did.

Very well spoken, man.

Enjoy that bike!

I'm having the same V & H Twin Slash slip ons and SE Stage 1 filter pit on my bike next Saturday. Only difference is I'm just doing the dealer remap instead of the Fuelpak. This is ALL I'm going to do to the bike performance wise, so the dealer said the remap was all I'd need. Is he right?

Had the vance&hines strait shots on my 09 but thought they made it sound like a big 4" open pipe. Just my opinion....
Now running 2" Rush baloney cut. Not as deep toned as the v&h, more raspy and I think throttle is a little snappier... seems to have better bottom end torque than it did with v&h's.
