I just changed my Screaming Eagle air cleaner to the Zippers maxflo. It sticks out a little more but I like it. I am 5' 11" and my leg rests on the cover. It makes stepping on the rear brake pedal a little bit more difficult but nothing that is a major inconvenience. Zippers says it will give you a few more ponies because it sucks in more air. I ordered it directly from Zippers for $65. Got a nice Arlen Ness cover as well. Next will be Woods 555 cams and progressive front and rear suspension upgrade.

Zippers Maxflo
Good choice on the A/C kit, got a maxflow on mine as well. As far as the performance high flows.go ive read great things about the zippers products. It does stick out at bit but nothing ya can't deal with, plus I think the air cleaners i've seen that are a bit wider look a little better too... just my opinion.
Post some pics of your scoot as ya go. We'd like to see what ya do and how it turns out.
Good luck with your projects...
I had to pull mine off. With my feet on the highway bars, it started working on my knee. Since I took it off and put a standard K&N filter on, the knee pain is gone and I can use the highway pegs again.
I think the Zippers is about the same as the Wimmer Better Sucker that I used to upgrade my Arlen Ness Big Sucker 1, I added that to handle my engine upgrades, while still using a stock air cleaner cover.
That said, I don't even notice the wider filter (3.25") and cover with my legs. My Kury extended forward controls, however, do have a 4" wide brake pedal. I run a floorboard now, but before that I had the wide foot pegs.
I know some brake pedals are very hard for me to reach, it's like you have to be pigeon toed. I'd just look into replacing the pedal pad with something wider and maybe wider pegs.
Yeah, I really like the zippers maxflo. I got use to it pretty fast. I can see how it can be a burden with highway pegs on it like Steve mentioned. I have to take a pic and post it. I am new to the form and still learning to navigate it. If anyone needs any paint and body work advice, auto body collision/refinishing is what I have been doing for the past 15 years. This form has been really helpful to me and I am always willing to give some advice back if I can.
