Default Front tire spacers '07 Street Bob

Took the front tire off, and like a dummy didn't mark which spacer goes on what side, could someone help me out on which side the wider spacer goes on? Thanks.

"...help me out on which side the wider spacer goes on"

On my FB the longer spacer goes on the left (primary) side of the front axle. One way to know if you have the spacers wrong-sided is that you'll have a hard time lining up the disc rotor(s) with the caliper(s), assuming you didn't spread the pads far apart when dismounting the wheel. Hope that helps.

So standing from the front looking at the tire the larger spacer will be on my right then, I put it on this morning and it seemed to drag more than I would have wanted on the brake pad, so maybe I had the spacers on the wrong sides. Should the rim and fork be tight against the spacers on either sides of them? I would think so?

This question had me thinking that I thought they were the same. 2006+07 have different left and right at $30 each. 2008 and newer are the same left and right at $9 each.
I still can't help which is left or right, sorry...................

"Should the rim and fork be tight against the spacers on either sides of them?"

That's right - the spacers should sit right up against the whl bearings in the hub, and there's only a very small gap between the spacers and the lower fork legs when you first install the wheel. Once you apply the correct torque to the axle nut the gap is eliminated.

There is still a slight gap on the brake lever side in my manual and on my bike after torquing it down. You can see it in the manual, and I used the 7/16th" drill bit as a gauge. Checked end play (good) and the brake rotor lined up perfectly. Don't have my manual in front of me, but someone may be able to check this.

I took a look at the axle and you could clearly see what spacer was on what side, through it back together and we are in business. Thanks guys.
