I'm pretty particular about bars, sucks because reading dimensions in a book or sitting on Harley's mock up doesn't equal putting some miles on a bike and seeing how they work in a real world setting.
The close your eyes and stick out your fists approach is surprisingly right on. If you sit on your bike and have a body take some quick measurements you should be able to get a pretty good idea of what will work on your bike.
House of Thunder in Morgan Hill has that.
Pretty slick actually.

There must be one out there out of all the HD dealers in your area.
Seats do play a big part in bars and visa versa.
Hey what's happening?
I think I'm going to go with bukybars. 8" high w/1.5" stock, similar to that 2011 cvo softail convertible setup I keep talking about but with the grips flat and the overall width at about 32". A modified z-bar but with the bottom edges rounded. They will make up one up to my specs, finish them in chrome or powdercoat and lifetime guarantee on build and finish. Local to me here so I can be exacting and face to face.
Great looking products and these, I actually saw similar in person!
