I am in need of a change to my current T-Bar set up. Currently when riding my arms and shoulders are fully extended forward, which is causing pain in my lower neck and shoulder area. It's clear that I need more pullback or to bring my handlebars closer.
I am thinking of trying a set of offset risers, with a set of tracker (833 Sportster) or drag bars. My concern is that I my bike may lose it's aggressive style, because the risers are a more traditional or "old school" look.
u need much taller risers. the taller they are the closer they become. just my 2 cents. you could also use 5" dog bone risers and have them tilted back to you as far as you needed then mount the bars uptop
yeah, taller is closer/less reach. Also, how is your posture on the bike. Good straight back and only bending from the hips? I see lots of guy out and about that ride with a curved back or leaning back some and curving the spine to reach the bars... that will cause aches and pain and make the bars seem farther away.

then I would suggest you need more pullback or to bend forward more at the hips to get bent arms. More pullback can be achieved going to taller t-bars(like 14"), apes, or something like what I did by switching to street slammers. If you go with the risers you posted , you'll probably extend the reach and need to lean forward more than you may need to now. Also, head to Harley dealer and sit on a fatbob and a wideglide. Could be you like one of those combinations of bars/risers and you could just get replicate that on you bike.
Why don't you try pullback risers. Those offset ones will ruin the look your going for. They make them in a lot of different heights I've seen them up to 10 inches or so. They are about an inch of pullback. Comine that with the 3-4 inch rise and 4 inch pullback of the spotty bars ( I just got a set from an 883 iron or the 48, they are narrow and already black ) plus the spotty bars will allow you to adjust the overall placement of your hands by just turning them a bit up or down.... Just my .02cents.
Check out the Milwaukee Twins t-bars at J&P Cycles #500-883 or 500-880, 7 and 9 inches of pullback. It's hard to get that much pullback with risers and drag bars, I've tried about everything and settled on the 883's.
Not exactly related, but I have a Yamaha FJR1300 and I put some HeliBars on it to make it a little more laid back ride. It really changed the way the bike handled, the steering felt much 'lighter' and did not track as well on long sweeping corners. It also effected riding 2 up.
I seem to be in the very small percentage of people who have had these kind of problems on this bike or any other by the way. Or at least people who are 'bothered' by it.
So, that bike is pretty different from a harley, but manufacturers spend alot of time making sure the bike is balanced, and I think it can throw things off to change that.
Anyhow, just my experience. I am looking to sell this bike, so the next person can decide whether they like them or not, but if I was keeping it they would come off.
