Seems as though there are only 3 manufacturers for matched tires for my bike; Dunlop GT502's, Michelin Schorcher 31's, and Pirelli Night Dragons. After hearing the ooooohs and aaaaahhh's on all three(too soft, too hard, cupping, noisy, no traction, no mileage, etc....) I just ordered a set of Night Dragons. With the Michelin and Dunlops running @$165 for the front and @$315 for the rear, the Pirelli's were $243.98 delivered. The original Dunlops have 5900 miles on them and the front is chopped worse than the rear is worn. Could probably get 6900 if the front wasn't SO bad. Time will tell now just how these are????
You're gonna feel like you're riding an entirely different bike!
I never felt "in control" with the original HD Dunlops, and I only put about 900 miles on them before I said, "forget this garbage!" Put the Night Dragons on the bike, and it almost feels like I'm riding a big, comfortable, laid back Sportster.
Completely in control, and knowing that the bike is gonna go where I point it, every time. That's what I love about these tires. I don't care if I get less than 5K out of them. They'll keep me alive when I need 'em to stick to the road. Well worth the price of admission.
Just talked to a local dealer yesterday about the Dunlops over the counter my price 315 and tax if they install the tire its 305.I'm going to try the Dragons if anyone has rear end pic of tire post it.
