lakeland? Man.. I thought you lived up in Oregon or washington state...
back to topic.... good link ...I knew of a few of those locations, one being a couple minutes from my home(tarpon springs location listed). I just run hess or shell gas and marine sta-bil for the most part myself.

looks like seafoam contains alcohol so best to err on the side of sta-bil.

I know startron and stabil marine formula weredesigned for ethenal. I have seen a topic or two on mikuni carbs having issues with ethenal that I believe had to do with corosion. Alot of these stabilizers have ethanol in them so be careful that you don't add to the problem.
The can says fuel stabilizer as well as fuel system cleaner.

If your using a fuel with ethanol in it you don't really need seafoam to clean anything because the ethanol will clean it however there is no harm in using 1/4 can every other tank. Ethanol fuels will benefit more from using the lucas upper cylinder lubricant. It's kind of an oil and claims to negate the ethanol in the fuel. I use the Lucas octane boost in every tank and it claims to have the upper cylinder lubricant already in it. Doesn't take much. An ounce or 2 per tank.

Default Why fuel stabilizer?

I's pretty hard to find fuel with out ethanol down in Florida. Thanks for the advise!!
Unless you are laying up your bike(s) for an extended period of time, Why would you need to put a fuel stabilizer in it? Fuel stabilizer extends the potency/life cycle of the fuel in the vehicle. If fuel stays dorment for an extended period of time it "goes bad". Stabilizer simply extends the time frame (such as over winter). As long as your riding, I wouldn't bother to add ANY stabilizer.
As far as storage goes - I WOULD NEVER STORE ANY VEHICLE WITH A HALF TANK OF FUEL. This allows for condensation to take place in the tank! Either fill her up or run her dry! When winter hits here I'll do a fill-up, add Stabil brand stabilizer, ride her home and park her with a tender plugged in. Just my

Same here. I use the starton stabilizer only when i'm going to store over winter or the machine won't be run for weeks at a time. Some of these products contain etanol so I go rel easy with them.

Thanks everyone for the input. My main concern was what affect the ethanol would have on my brandy new bike, I wasn't trying to winterize it. Correct we don't have actual winter in central Florida, the things that stinks is all the rain we get. I will try to run ethanol free when possible but from what I'm reading I should be good to go as long as it doesn't sit for to long. Thanks Again!!!
