In the interest of getting the winter mod season kicked off, I'm attempting to remove the console on the Fat Bob. I've made pretty good progress, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the gauge from the console.
I thought I was smarter than the speedo but I've thought wrong.
Attached are a couple of pics of what I'm working with. How do I get this thing out? Thanks in advance, fellas.
The speedo is secured by the black plastic ring in 3 spots - if I remember correctly, carefully pry the ring away from the speedo with a small screwdriver just enough until you can lift the ring past the little nub on the back of the speedo - once you do the first one the other two are easier. Then just push speedo from underside out through the top of the dash. Here's a close-up from my "Speedo/Tach Install" album:
