Got a pair or new take off nightster 11" shocks from a 2010, do they fit my 07 Street bob? The cylinder and spring diameter looks a slightly smaller than my current shocks. Well, it's free, I can put them on and try out lol. Thanks!
They will fit in the sense that you can bolt them on. They are 1" shorter than your stock units so the bike will be lowered. I don't know how they will handle the extra weight of the dyna and the ride will be different for sure. Guess you'll find out how well they work, it's worth a shot.
I don't know much, but I would bet that the spring rate is waaaay different than the shocks meant for a Dyna. I'm willing to guess that just the weight of the bike bottoms them out.
I'm unning progresive lowering shocks from a Sporty on mine and its a different ride to say the least. Springs are way soft...not made for the Dyna's weight. It will bottom out and over time can destroy your wires....mine did. But then again I think mine are even lower than yours. I had to rewire and reroute the new wires to keep running them because I like to be low. If you can afford it I'd say get shocks made for the Dyna in whatever length you want, you'll be WAY happier. I'm poor and went with what I had. Just remember, potholes are a bitch!
