Took a hour to sand each one, then 30mins to paint, let it sit for 3 days before putting the wheel back on. Did it all outside, just put a box under the forks to catch the overspray.
Thanks to you, it was from your thread that I decided to do it. Im actually thinking about painting my tins with the same paint
Glad I can help. Tins would probably be a little sketchy unless you're good with wet sanding. I think on that big of area it will show to much orange peel. Although I've never used on anything bigger then our lowers.
dogma, looks real good. looking to do this when i get back.
question... ive never taken a wheel off, was it hard to figure out or you done it before and its easy for you? im not to mech and not many tools. i can pm you too, dont wanna steal your thread thunder. thanks tho in advance.
Removing the front tire and brakes were easy as pie, as long as you have the right tools, and everything goes back to gether just as easy. You can even goto youtube and find a video that gives you the basics on removal. But definetly remember, DON'T touch the front brake lever after you remove the front brake caliper off the rotor. Good luck
