Ok good. Im not the only person who thinks they look retarded. I didnt want to offend anyone if it was some fallen rider thing or had some other meaningfull purpose.
The different colors that they are made of usually represent a club affiliation that the rider is either a member of and or supports.
Both of these are right. They started out as "Get Back Whips" in the old days to fend off dogs that would chase the motorcycles going down the street and later were used as a club identifier to announce by color what club you belonged to.
