Default Hello from the softail side

I recently bought my wife a 2012 StreetBob... she loves the bike but it sits a little too high for her.... she's 5'7"... she can flat foot it fine, on even ground.. but she's had some issues on uneven ground... the shocks are already at their lowest preload.. is there a cheap way of lowering dynas an inch or two?

thanks in advance.

find a set of used nightster shocks! i believe they are an inch or 2 shorter than the street bob shocks! or you can get burley 10 inch slammer shocks or even a set of progressives! either way you go its pretty inexpensive

Nice Fatboy lo, get the 11" shocks, that should give her a drop.

thanks for the advice.. I had searched before asking and only came up with the lowering blocks... didn't sound like a good idea to me...

looks like the shocks are the way to go...

Do what I did...unstaple the seat cover and shave the seat skinnier so her legs don't have to hug the seat so much.

You need to shave it between the thighs and that will give her more of a straight shot to the ground.

Hard to explain what I mean without giving these guys too much ammo about shaving between the legs...

LaPera Barebones might do the trick.

Look around for a used lowrider seat. They sit a little lower, I think it would be a direct fit. But check before you spend any money.
