Dyna Vibration Problem

New to the forum and won't be on here often... life is too busy. got on here to look for solutions to vibes on 1200 Nightster. went from an 02 low rider to 09 Nightster and there is def a difference. You should not have vibes like you're experiencing. Also if you run a windshield, check it out. On my sporty, I changed to a bar mounted shield from HD quick disconnect and the vibe reduced dramatically.

Ol' lady hated the vibration on my '12 WideGlide...I put on a set of VH Short shots and a Fuel Pak at spec. She says it's perfect now, especially reversed cowgirl on the tank...not mirror problems and the nieghbors dont hear her scream.

Take a look at the exhaust. My bike had excessive vibration, I checked/replaced everything. When I replaced the exhaust whoever installed the old pair stripped the front head bolt, which was a real pain to get out. New exhaust and now she is super smooth.
My 95 Dyna (FXD) wallows like an old cow,nothing drastic just feels like it has a half flat tyre, both tyres are good an right pressure,any thoughts on this or is this a common feeling to them???

My 2006 Dyna FXDI has been smooth since day one. I guess i am lucky. I have seen some harley motors shake so hard they were a blur at a stoplight. I hope you can smooth you motor vibes.

Many have had great results shimming the front engine mount. If the front mount is fatigued and the tip of the triangular rubber snubber is contacting the mount bracket the mount should be replaced and the new mount should then be shimmed.
