103" and 107" kits are direct bolt on. You can use your existing heads as they're the same You'll want new head gaskets though. Get slightly thinner ones to bump the compression up a tad.

I know the kits are bolt on. What about OEM take off pieces?

All the same parts. you can have the heads drilled for manual compression or buy heads with automatic compression releases and have stock cylinders bored to 107”
the cylinders from the 88,96,and 103 are the same except different diameters.
