When you bring the bike in for dynojet tuning, hand your dealer a flash drive so he can put a copy of the final tuning program on it. If you have additional tuning done elsewhere later on, I think you will need a copy of the program along with the SEPST or else you will have to start all over.
I just went through this with mine. He is correct. If you have mechanical issues with your bike, you will need it. I just keep mine in the saddlebag or somewhere on the bike when I am traveling in case something happens. Second, you need to find out if the dealer ordered you cables with the race tuner or not. They run about $50.00 and if they did, you need to get them and if they didnt no big deal. They only need the race tuner when tuning the bike. You should have also gotten a print out of your new numbers from the dyno tune. I have the same wire capped behind my air cleaner and also was told it has to do with the old air cleaner and not to worry.
yea my dealer kept mine with my name on it, but when i asked they gave it to me no problem, but said don`t lose it or i`ll have to buy another one and start over.

Thanks coop. Good call on the flash drive. I'll definitly remember to bring them one for the dyno tune.
I got my Super Tuner from the dealer this morning. They actually looked at me funny when I told them I wanted it back. Oh well. I feel better having it. One of the techs told me I dont need a thumb drive for a copy of the final map because it would be stored on the tuner itself.

Yup, you have the setup stored in the bike's ECU and a copy on the SEPST, so little chance you'll lose your tune. Once you get your cable and software you can make a further backup on your PC before messing with it.
