Im assuming its the same as on a car with a cold air intake. Make sure you have the K&N cleaning kit. You can get it at any auto store for about $15.

1. Take the filter off the bike
2. Remove any debris (leaves, bugs, ect) You can use your fingers or a soft brush.

3. Spray the cleaner on the OUTSIDE of the filter and let it soak in for a few minutes. Be generous with the spray.

4. Take a garden hose with no attachment or use a faucet to rinse the filter from the INSIDE out. You dont want the water pressure to be high. You will see dirt and the old oil come off. Repeat until you just see clean water coming off the filter. Let completely dry.

5. Take the K&N oil and put over each pleat in the filter but dont overdo it or else it will be saturated and you can suck the oil into the engine. When you are done, let it dry completely before reinstalling.

That is pretty much it, its not hard at all.

EDIT:
I found this video for you. It pretty much says the same thing I just did but it gives you a nice visual.

I do mine like this:

Pull the filter off of bike and blow all the debris and dirt and dust out from the inside out using my compressor (light pressured air).

Get a bucket of grease cutting soapy water and give it a good scrubbing with a soft brush. Rinse with hose and let dry.....

Oil her up with the k&n oil let sit out for a day and install it
