I have had apes on previous bikes...loved them. Forgot I had this set in the building and it looks like almost everything will work with no changing anything other than the brake line....I think it will come up short.
So....should I? I like my ride, but apes are awesome for comfort.....the bars are in cheesecloth and zip-tied to the bars now mounted just to see what it might look like.
personally I HATE the look of apes on ANY bike myself. It just looks so stupid to me. Like the owner is just screaming, "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME!!!!!!" That's just my opinion though and I say if you like em, throw em on!! I do admit they look way better than the ones that stick up higher than those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think the width is that big a deal but they will look odd with the pull back risers.I actually have a set of each.I think the sportster bars are more comfortable at speed but the apes look better on my bike he way it's currently set up.
