Default Help !!!

I am trying to change my fuel filter on my 2010 fxdc . I dont have a service manual , I know not smart . Any way the line going down to the bottom of the tank wont come loose . It looks like it should come loose right at the pump assembly but it wont . Is it supposed to ? If so how ? Next if I get the line loose how in the heck do I get that big assembly out of that little hole ? I am ready to throw a lit ciggar in the dang thing so please help !!

your way off, the filter is inside the tank... under the dash theres an access plate... you really need a manual ...

I got it !!! Yes I was in the tank , thats where the fuel pump assembly is . It is in between the pump and hose connections . It is FILTHY !! Yes I have 23000 miles on this bike , and 25000 on my 2011 flhk . I have been having idling problems with this bike , and had it narrowed down to the filter . Not too good of gas quality here in old Illinois . So off I go to Halls HD to spend $17 for the filter , $ 18 for the tank gasket , and $ 1.50 a piece for the special tank access screws . Oh joy ! Thank you to everyone who responded . You guys out here really are alot of help . This is the first place I go ANY time I have a problem with one of my rides . So HONESTLY THANKS !

Glad you got it done. First time is always awkward for both you and the bike.

Grab a service manual ...well worth the $65 ..I guess that's what they are still ....where can you go to get that kind of information at your disposal ...
