no high beam???? HELP

no high beam???? HELP

01 wide glide,itook headlight off to have to painted an when i hooked it up i have no high beam. I even tried another bulb. Its an aftermar,ket light. Its only two wires it worked fine when i installed it. Any ideas????

Only two wires? There's no ground? I figure one to low, one to high and a ground for both. Maybe a ground to the headlight shell, or was the shell being the ground and now the paint is insulating the flow.

it is grounded in the shell. low beam works but when i switch to hi it shuts off

Run the ground from the shell to something on the frame isntead. Maybe the tank bolt. That should solve your issue.

Maybe if you post some pics of the setup. If the low works it is not a ground issue, unless the high lamp is isolated.
You have 3 wires in the HD harness, which wires are you running to which lamp?
