Default Headlight issue

Help guys!!!
I had problems with my old headlight on my 1995 Fatboy, High beam worked and suddenly stopped working So I thought the high beam got burnt, normal stuff.
I went and bought a new headlamp, this time, with halogen bulb instead of a sealed beam like it had, went through the easy install and turned it on, it worked! high beam and low beam!! excellent! but I just came from my ride today and performed a simple checke on the headlight... low beam and passing lights fine... switched to high beam and.... NO LIGHTS ON!!! passing lights turn off, normal, but I don't have any high beam anymore and it worked fine two days ago!!!!
What could seem to be the problem??

Well since your low beam works you are getting power to the hi/low switch so it is one of these things.

  1. switch or connection to
  2. wire from switch to plug under tank
  3. the plug under tank
  4. wire from plug to headlight
  5. bad connection in headlight

Clean the connections and put a little dielectric grease on them.
That will keep the dreaded water out and any future corrosion to a minimum.
Keep the light working a lot longer too cause bad connections draw extra current that will fry the bulb quicker.
