Inexpensive saddlebags?
I have an 06 Fatboy and I am finding that I am in the need for saddlebags. Is there a good and inexpensive (I know good and inexpensive usually do not coincide) alternative to genuine HD bags? A bit pricey for my budget at the moment.

I buy cheap saddlebags off ebay. You can get some very roomy fake leather bags that look OK when they are new. I usually go to 6 or 7 bike rallies a year and my bags really get abused. $100 bags last about as long as $700 bags,(actually fake leather holds up better to rain than the real thing) but you don't feel as bad when you have to replace them.

Got my saddlemen bags for 135 off www.realhog.com and got the mounting brackets, (quick detach) for the same 135.

If you want to keep the price down, the fake leather bags are a good buy in my opinion. I've used them in the past. They look good, hold up well, and I doubt anyone can tell they ain't leather without taking a sniff.
