To everybody on this web page i would like to say i'am a very proud owner of a 2005 dyna super glide and i cant say how happy this ride makes me and everybody who has one knows it is a all around bike in the city or out on the road.and a bike that 34 years ago willie g had put together and it has only got better.everybody no matter what you ride have a safe summer we are in this together.
Traded my 2004 1200r with 11,000 miles on it for a 05 Chopper Blue FXDI. I picked the bike up May 13, 2005 and I have almost 4000 miles on the bike. So far I have added forward controls, Boss Bags and a set of SEII slip ons.
I have never kept any of my bikes more than a year (usually ride about 10,000 miles a year) but I think I found a keeper in the FXDI.
I love this bike!!!!!
It is fantastic on the interstates which to me was the Sportsters biggest negative and does fine in the twisties. Decent low end grunt even without the stage one and is it ever comfortable (at least compared to a 1200r with a stock seat). It's like riding my sofa down the road.
Thanks for your input . all i have is the mufflers to then down the road i'll do the A.c they are not to bad sound great dont they? ride safe .
Actually when I had my 2004 1200r Sportster and went to the stageI with SEII slipon I thought I had made a mistake and they were way to loud. But then I got used to them and when I picked up my Dyna it just sounded so strange and quiet.
