That grey is killing me, want it black. I did some research about bed liner and other stuff. But I was hoping there was a good spray can of "something" that will spray on after a little sanding and then stick. I'm just worried about rocks and such hitting and chipping.
Or. How hard would it be to remove and powder coat?
I'm on my phone so I can't post a link but there are a couple threads on this using appliance epoxy. I did it to mine about a month back and it comes out great. I have pics but again I'm on my phone. If you don't get the info you need doing a search, I'm sure someone will chime in.
I did search before posting. But I didn't see much about durability with spay-on. I also noticed there was HD textured stuff, and then walmart stuff, or what's best?
Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy, I wouldn't use anything else. Ive done several pieces in it and it has been durable for the last 10k miles. There is several how-tos on the process if you look.
+ on the appliance epoxy. Cheap, durable and looks great. Did mine 2.5 years ago. Here's my write up. Cover everything on your bike and in your garage that you don't want overspray on. The second or thirst post has the original write up from joe.
Wish i had better ones, you get the idea though - shiny and black. One of those was from today (new rotors) and the other from a week or two ago. Those have about 10k on them and i have never even touched them up.

Here's a picture with the epoxy on the front forks at 2.5 years old. A couple months ago I used the appliance epoxy to touch up my rear spring covers and painted the battery band with this stuff. It works great!
Looks like you get great results with that epoxy. I have already contacted a local powder coater and they said that they will do the lower forks and triple trees for 75 buck. Seems worth it to me. Now I just need to figure out how to take the front of the bike apart.....
