I have a couple of ramps made from 2x10 yellow pine with steel lips on one end to rest on whatever you are going up..Have used them for dynas, dressers etc never had a problem...even up into my truck....don't forget, the weight of the bike is distributed over the length of the bike, not in one spot.

Just remember if you are riding it in while seated on the bike, make sure the ramp is wide enough to place your feet. If you need to stop halfway up, and can't put your feet down, you could end up on your side in the lawn.
(yes, I learned this the hard way about 10 years ago. It confirmed my suspicion that I am not too bright)

Use a car ramp and drive that thing in there.

Pop the front wheel in the air and wheelie it in.

6"? If the bike Isn't slammed ride it in. Or just get a board to use as a ramp. Don't see the big deal here?

I was planning on the ramps they sell at Lowes or Home Depot but after reading the reviews I don't really trust them. I was also looking at using plank 2x10x8 lumber but what would be the weight rating be on those? Like I said this is just temporary.
John, just buy 3 common bricks and lay 2 of them flat and parallel to the opening, @ the opening. Place the third one on top of those right at the opening, done deal and just drive it right up or wheel it right down. Another way, use that 2x10 and put the bricks underneath it, 2 @ the opening, one midspan. No biggie as you are only 6" up, right?

For all those dissing me about ABS brakes, I never said I would rely on them, only that the bike was equipped with them. I even stated in the 'joke' that I would not rely on them for safe stops.
