The mirrors are adjustable you know....

If you're seeing your shoulders, adjust them out so you see more to the side of you and around yourself.

They really help out if you have buddies that like to ride in your blindspots.

True enough - but vision behind you is limited by the distance between the mirrors and the length of each mirror.

I just bought a fxdf & had the same problem... looking at my sholders, and the mirrors were so close to the bar that i would bump them trying to reach for clutch/brake... i bought these from the HD dealer..

part #'ers are 91910-90a & 91909-90a for left & right. they are a harley part and were stocked... about 3 inchs taller & 3 to 4 inches wider...

they were $29 and change each... those are the part numbers for black, i belive they have the chrome equilivent, but i don't know the part numbers... its in the 2011 parts catalog...

they fixed the problem completely.

I am 6'2" and have the stock mirrors on my SB and see my shoulders alittle bit. I used to ride crotch rockets awhile ago and it was a change for me but I really found that its enough for me to see behind me when a car is coming up or i am changing lanes, I always look back before i change lanes so it never really bothers me. If it bothers you that much just get the big ole alien antenna mirrors then you wont have that problem.

I had to change mirrors on my Super Glide. I had some custom mirrors on it when I bought it but they were useless for the most part. I left them on for a long time and finally decided to buy some HD mirrors with longer stems. I can see just fine now. I adjusted the old ones every way I could and was just never satisfied with the result. I always look back before I change lanes but I just like being able to glance in the mirror and see what's going on...just situational awareness.

Looks like it's time for a taller set of bars.
