I have a 1999 Dyna twin cam 1450, when i brought it, it came with a box of 257 cams. Can anyone give me any advice as to what I will need to change install these. I understand I will need SE adjustable push rods and SE Valve Spring Kit.....not sure what else i will need??
Cheers
Those are not bolt in cams. You ideally need head work and different pistons. That cam wants more compression than stock. Without doing that, they will give you worse performance than stock. It is more of a higher rpm cam. Stock 88" can only go with a .510 lift cam. Even changing springs doesn't really help because the factory compression is only 8.8-1. When you factor the corrected compresion, it goes down. That cam probably wants a 9.5-1 corrected compression to be ideal.
