[QUOTE=JohnC FXDX;9266870]Where did you find this? A stock superglide is good for a 13.5 second or quicker 1/4. 0-60 is under 5 seconds. Maybe as quick as 4.4 depending on the rider. My FXDX was tested any where from a 13.5-13.7 with the 88". Plenty of info online. Someone posted a link in the general chat forum on a thread about a 1200 Sportster vs. Goldwing. It was a road test summary from a motorcycle mag. Had the 1200's as quick as 12.9 and mist other Harleys in the 13's.[/QUOTE
At the track. I wasn't riding it too hard and it was completely stock. I only had it for a week so I hadn't figured out tge church yet.
That's why I wrote"depends on the rider". I wasn't prepared to beat the crap out of an untested bike and clutch.
And to be honest these bike stock aren't fast, especially with the stock rev limit. I had no tach and hit tge rev-limit twice before I knew my times were gonna be Fu(ked.
I can get my mustang down the track in 12.6 spraying nitrous, off the bottle I am at 13.2 and I know my bike isn't as fast as my car. Believe what you want.
Take your bike stock down the quarter. You won't get much better times than I did.

Just for giggles....a 2007 FXDS Screamin' Eagle was tested in this article, with the CVO 110 twinkie.

Sad to say but my 86 Honda 750vt will beat my Harley in a race from a dig and a roll. The powerband is longer. Harley revs out at like 5200 rpm,my Honda revs out at 9000 rpm. The Harley will take it for about 30 ft until the Honda hits 4000 rpm, then is in the dust. Harleys aren't race bikes. To big,to heavy. Maybe a 120r would whoop my Honda but my Harley can't.

I can believe that from a seasoned track rider on a far from stock bike. My 96 isn't in that league

Figured I'd dig this up instead of starting a new thread...
I don't have much experiencing launching a big twin for best 0-60. The best I have been able to do is 4.6, which I have been able to repeat 3 times in a row. I am used to sport bikes and they of course need LOTS of revs to get in the power band. Of course the 96" is all about torque.

Is there any tips on how to get the best launch?

you should be able to put a slightly fatter tire on the front, 110m with the stock wheel. For the double disc you need the lower forks of the FatBob as you need the mounts for the second (right side) caliper. Some people have done the mod using vrod forks.

you may wanto take a looks at the below:
