Man!! You're obsessed with the FLDs arent' you? Just admit you want one and get it over with so you can sleep at night.
Why indulge? He's just jerking your chain. Be proud of your bike folks, it has some short-comings but those will be addressed over time. Lots of great ideas for making our bike better out there. I'm sure many vendors are taking note.
Most any dyna rider who is negative on it, and who after riding the FLD, will change their tune because it's a great thought, just not a complete thought yet. The main thing that bugs me is the bags and the standard front fender. I'm exploring all kinds of ideas including leather bags, but don't know where I'll end up. It's fun exploring the possibilities though.
Even if others NEVER accept the FLD, who gives a ****? You bought it for you didn't you?...nuff said.
You have an awesome RK there, bigmike, I'd be proud to own it.
But until you can execute a perfect five-point cartwheel without prosthetics like the rest of us on the fld threads, your gonna have to try another approach. It was creative though given all the road queen remarks. Thanks for the laugh.

AMEN to that brother. Now with that said in the previous issues of American Iron and Motorcycle Bagger magazines there were some great write ups on the FLD. I point out that in the last Bagger issue they had a catchy phrase that was quite funny about don't call it a Road Queen. So let them call it what they want. I chose my bike because it was what I wanted. If I wanted to purchase anything else I would have but I chose my FLD and just like every one else on this forum WE the owners of our FLD's are trying to modify our rides to suit our taste, just like every one else doing mods on their Sporty, Softtail, Bagger, Dyna or VRod. You might not like our bikes but truth is I don't give a **** what you like or don't like.

I think mostly it's just guys with nothing to do on a sunday entertaining themselves. Probably for most, just pokin fun. I used to get bugged, but it is nothing more than what it is i think. No biggie in the big picture.
The FLD will have to earn its respect and it will. Pain in the *** in the meantime though...LOL
Just a matter of time until more experience it and then see why we bought it. If they don't? Like you said, who gives a ****?

I guess I hadn't had my morning coffee earlier but in my defense....it is a Monday!

thanks for the link but i am looking for the cloth soft lowers you can buy for about 70 bucks that go on and off in a few sec and as far and the tint low wind screen i think it would work but the hd one you buy the screen and the mounts and the RK mounts will not work on the SB i had the dealer try a RK windshield on a SB and it wouldn't work not even close but i believe what others are saying is true that the holes drilled in the windshield are the same.
i aint worryin wether or some jackass in another state , doesnt like my bike, i proballly wont like his either, i dont care, call it what ya want. i personally arent going to add anything more to make it more of a tourer, if i wanted a bloated rode sofa i'da bought one.. i still want slick and quick.... but when i wanna run 600 miles , i want a place to put my lunch..

Rob, will ya at least put some frilly visors on the back of it? you won't be able to see them back there. What do you think?
