If I don't have a long ride every now and then, I feel some lower back pain but I just ride on get used to it and it's better. Maybe you just need to take more longer rides.

This is good advice. I put an angled 4" riser on my stock mini-apes,and bought a mustang seat. That seat is the best money I ever spent on that bike.
I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back. Need surgery,well they suggested it. I said forget it. Anyways those 2 mods helped me immensely and I can do 600 mile days easy
I have a bad back that is due to an accident three years ago. When I first purchased my FLD the stock seat would cause my back to hurt after 45 mins of riding. I tried different seats from different manufactures but after going back to the dealer I told them about what I was feeling and was told that I needed something to support my low back by pushing it foward. They suggested the signature series seat which helps my lower lumbar.
