I love the evil apes and will be going with 12" or 14" black for my Street Bob.
I have 2 buddies that have the 14" gangster apes in chrome and they look sweet. I believe the evil apes are the exact same, just with sharp bends in the corners, for a more "evil" look.
I still have the stock bars on now, and I'm just debating if I want to go up to 14"s. I'm just considering stability. I may just go with the 12"s and skip getting new cables and save a few $$.
If I change my mind and want to go up to 14"s, I'm sure someone here would help take my 12"s off my hands.

Reason: I can't frickin' spell!
Howe all are you. I'm 6'1 I had the 14's on order then canceled and changed to the 17's. Hope I didn't screw up. I'm gonna run 2" risers. I just bought my sb a week ago. It has 16" Harley apes with 4" risers now. It's not terrible. I think the 17" with 2" will be slightly lower and hopefully put my hands right at shoulder hieght
I would love to see your bike with those Carlini Apes but for some reason
I cannot access any images, when I try, it sends me to some BS page
that says I "May not have sufficient privileges" or some crap about attempting to edit someone's post....I mean I am just trying to view a few pictures...
Heck, granted I have NOT been here as long as a lot of you guys but I HAVE been here for a good minute and still cannot access most "link posted" images
Until you get your five posts and week down just log out of your account, everything is view able as a guest.
I'm a measly 5'10. Like I said, I have 2 friends that I ride with, that have the 14" gangsters and they are maybe a hair above my shoulders. One has a Heritage and the other has a Deluxe.
I have a feeling the 14"s will be fine, but I'll be honest, I'm comfortable with the height of the stock ones. I had elkhorns on my previous ride.
I called emailed Carlini a while ago since I saw no 12" black evil apes on their site, but they said just to call in when I was ready to order and they could hook me up.
I was going to go the evil apes direction, but found the bottom of the bar that attaches to the risers to narrow for my wide glide and went with the 16" gangsters. I love 'em
Bambohunter- I'm 5'11 and have the 16" gangsters (really 17") with 2" risers and they are SLIGHTLY above my shoulders, using a Lepera seat. perfect for me, so should fit you no problem.
