Winter mods to start next week. A few opinions 255s vs t6-6please
So I have an 08 street bob with a 96. I have already bought worked heads,a propipe and a pcv. Now I bought a pair of 255s then saw a great deal on new t6-6s so I bought them too. Now I was going to put in the t6-6s however I was thinking maybe the 255s would suit me better.
I don't race my bike, mostly highway touring,I have bounced off tge rev-limit twice since I bought the bike so I don't spend much time in the upper revs. The bike will be pulling a small trailer when my girl and I do our vacations in the summer. I rarely ride 2 up as well.
So guys, what say you. What should I do here. I will be re-using all my stock parts again, bike only had 12000 miles and the heads are coming rebuilt and a 3 angle valve job and material was added to improve the velocity of the air charge.
And as far as gaskets go,should I go with a the thinnest possible to bump compression slightly. The heads were machined and auto compression releases installed if that makes a difference.
And what do you guys figure she will make for power on either of the cams. I want a bike that cruises well and can get a
mosey on with just a twist of my wrist. I will be getting the bike dyno-tuned to get the most out of my heads.
Thought?
As a sidenote for anyone with either of these cams what's your mileage like.
